About My Role in the Team:
As an Assistant Producer, my responsibilites on the Sims 3 Web Team are multi-faceted. Because we run on scrum cycles, the work environment is fast-paced, which allows us a quicker turn-around for our web updates. My role can be split in to two categories: Making sure the team and I are meeting required deadlines and goals, and proposing new features and designs to improve the site/user experience or reduce our workload through efficiency.
My role on this team includes the following responsibilities:
- Scheduling, planning, & managing scrum-based iteration cycles with our development team, both locally in the US and externally in India.
- Coordinating with marketing and global branding to promote EA and contracted titles in our Sims 3 Community. This can include items from scheduled banner changes to sponsored downloadable in-game content.
- Scheduling game support, marketing requests, and global branding requirements into out iteration cycles to meet each corresponding group's deadlines
- Making sure updates per iteration are translated to all supporting languages by our localization team in Spain.
- Managing the registration flows' implementation for each Stuff Pack and Expansion Pack scheduled during my contract (Fast Lane, Late Night, Deluxe). This includes the creation of a registration flow chart for future support.
- Designing and planning the development of a new registration flow to reduce out team's costs for game support and streamline the user's experience.
- Designing, planning, and managing the development of the My Comments feature, which allows users to post comments on each other's My Page.
