Description
Dice Clock is a board game I made as an assignment for Jesse Schell's Game Design class in Spring of 2009. The assignment was to create a game that incorporates dice. This game uses 2 6-sided dice faces to determine how you move on the board.

The objective of the game is to be the first to reach the center of the clock. Each space on the board is marked with a designated die face. The dice rolls determine if you can jump up to the next tier or how many spaces you can rotate the dials. Rotating the dials can align you with a strategic number or can help you in knocking down the other players to a lower tier in order to give yourself a better chance. The higher you go, the easier it becomes to get knocked down.

This game is meant for 2-4 players.

Design/Concept
I designed this games so that all the physical elements were incorporated into the gameplay, including the surface the pieces lay on. Everything is changeable. A person's move can have multiple effects. In Dice Clock, the players' pieces sit on the dials, which can be rotated during a player's turn. Turning the dials affects everything on the board and can create strategic situations or limit an opponent.

The key component of Dice Clock is the dials. When you rotate the dial, you change your position in relation to the step ahead of you. You are also changing the positions of all your opponent players. In addition, each dial has a pointer. If the pointer hits a player, that player is knocked back to a lower tier.
